And so it begins.

Being that this is my first blog, my first posting and my not so first time in Saudi Arabia, I thought it best to just write something about this site. Basically it is an attempt to explain the thoughts and observations of an old guy with the heart of a child, a always renewed sense of adventure and a love for what life has to offer.

A little background. This is the forth time that I have been in Saudi Arabia (The big sandbox). First is was a short spell in Khamis Mushayt on the west coast in 1986-1987, then back again in 1987 to 1987 in Riyadh, the third time in Dammam in Desert Storm, 1990 to 1991. Now I am back in Riyadh since late 2006. I plan on returning to home in Florida in September 2008.
